April 10^th – Saturday

WNHS Swing Dance

Who: Jazz Band

When:

· 8:00 pm - arrive at WN door #14 (near baseball field and rear field house entrance.

· 8:40 pm - performance

· 9:15 pm - stay til 10:00 pm or leave with family

April 17^th – Saturday

Kane County Cougars “National Anthem” performance

Who: All 6^th-8^th grade band students

When:

· 4:00 pm – arrive at Kane County Stadium – drop off near main gate

· 4:45 pm – National Anthem performance on the field

· 5:00 pm – Game starts

Note: All band students will receive free admission (we will sit together as a group), 1 free meal ticket (hot dog, drink and chip), and a free t-shirt. If you wish, students may leave with their parent at anytime before the game ends. You and your child just need to check out with either myself, or Mrs. Gonzalez (8^th grade band parent). Transportation to and from Kane County Stadium are each family’s responsibility.

Tickets can be purchased through the Cougar ticket office. Price: box seats-$14, reserved-$12 and lawn-$10

April 24^th – Saturday

IGSMA State Concert Band Competition

Who: 7/8th Grade Concert Band

Where: Troy Middle School, 5800 W Theodore St, Plainfield, IL (note: ~50-55 minute drive)

When:

· 6:30 am - Meet at Monroe

· 7:00 am - Depart Monroe

· 8:00 am - Warm-up

· 8:30 am - Performance

· 9:30 am – Depart for Monroe

· 10:30 am - Return to Monroe/Parent Pickup

May 1^st – Saturday

IGSMA State Jazz Band Competition

Who: Jazz Band

Where: Plainfield Central HS, 24120 W Ft Beggs Drive, Plainfield, IL (note: ~45 minute drive)

When:

· 7:00 am - Meet at Monroe

· 7:30 am - Depart Monroe

· 8:30 am - Warm-up

· 9:00 am - Performance

· 10:00 am - Leave for Monroe

· 11:00 am - Return to Monroe/Parent Pickup

May 18^th – Tuesday

Spring Jazz Concert

Who: Jazz Band

When: 7 pm

Where: MMS – Multi-Purpose Room (MPR)

May 31^st – Monday

Memorial Day Parade

When: ~8:45 am to 10 am

Where: TBA

June 2^nd – Wednesday

Awards Night/Spring Band Concert

When: 6:30 pm
