May 30^th – Monday

Wheaton Memorial Day Parade

Where: Northwest corner of Memorial Park (intersection of Wheaton Street and Union Street)

Schedule:

· 9:15 am - drop off at Memorial Park NW corner

· After parade pick-up:

The parade route finishes along Warrenville Road, south of Roosevelt Road, near Saint Michael’s Cemetery. We march through the cemetery and enter the parking lot of Edison Middle School. Parent/Child pick up is at the main entrance of Edison MS. However, due to so many people converging on Edison MS, it becomes EXTREMELY CONGESTED at Edison, and so it is highly advisable to park several blocks from Edison and to walk to meet your child.

What to wear:

· Monroe red band shirt, khaki/tan shorts, white socks, and white gym shoes

What NOT to bring:

· Instrument cases must be left in the car upon drop-off at Memorial Park

June 1^st – Wednesday

Awards Night & Spring Concert

· Schedule:
6:10-6:20 pm - arrive
6:30 pm – Awards Presentation
7:15 pm - Move to gym for Spring Concert

· What to wear:

Students should wear nice dress clothes - no band uniforms. 7th and 8th grade students should turn in their red "contest" sweaters at the front door.

· What to bring:
We ask each grade to bring the following treats:

o 6th and 7th grade: finger foods (cookies, brownies, veggie and dip, etc) enough to serve 12
