Reminders & Upcoming Events

May 25 - Monday – Memorial Day

Wheaton Memorial Day Parade

· 9:15 am – drop off at NW Corner of Memorial Park (Wheaton Ave and Union Ave)

· 10:45 am – Pickup at Edison MS (we strongly suggest parking a few blocks away, as there is a huge amount of traffic around Edison after the parade)

· Notes: Please leave all instrument cases in the car. Students should wear their red band shirt, black pants, black socks, and black shoes. DrumLine – Mr Blazek will have your shirts!!! DrumLine should wear khaki shorts and the new DrumLine shirt which Mr Blazek will issue on Monday.

May 27 – Wednesday

18th Annual Band Awards & Spring Concert

· Who: 6^th Grade Cadet & 7^th/8^th Grade Concert Bands

· When: 6:30 pm Awards; 7:30 pm Concert

· Where: MMS Commons, then the Gymnasium for the concert

· Notes: We are asking each family to bring "finger food" to serve a dozen people. Veggies and dip, cookies, brownies, etc for the evening's festivities. Please drop the food off at the food table area near the auditorium.

Notes of Interest

· We were very proud to have had all three bands: Concert, A-Jazz, and B-Jazz participating in the IGSMA state contests this year. GO EAGLES!!!
