February 12^th – Friday

Special Northside Band Festival Rehearsal

Who: All 7^th and 9^th grade band members

When: 3:30 to 4:30 pm

Where: Monroe MS Band Room - Enter Door 1 by main parking lot

February 13^th – Saturday

I.G.S.M.A. Solo and Ensemble Contest

Where: Avery-Coonley School, 1400 Maple Ave, Downers Grove, IL (map & directions)

When: All day – schedule to be announced

February 18th – Thursday

CUSD 200 Northside Band Festival

Where: Wheaton North High School Gymnatorium

When:

• 6:30- arrive at Wheaton North (see below for details about where to enter and put your coats and cases)
• 6:40- be in your seat
• 6:50- rehearsal BEGINS for all students (parents are not allowed in the gym at this time)
• 7:10- doors open to audience
• 7:30- 8:30 concert

Attire: Monroe band shirt, black pants, socks and shoes or black skirt, hose and black shoes.

Bring your own:

• MUSIC STAND - Be sure your name is on both parts.
• STICKS AND MALLETS – Be sure your name is on all of them
• INSTRUMENT – Be sure your name is on the case
• MUSIC

Where to Meet:

• 5th graders will meet in the Choir/Orchestra room 610 - enter from Geneva Ave/ via Morse St. please park on the NORTH side of WNHS and enter through door 15 or 16
• 6th graders will meet in room 500 (the choir room – across from the gym entrance) - enter from Thomas Street - park on the SOUTH side of WNHS and enter the school via the main entrance
• 7th and 8th graders will meet in Schomas (Little) Theater - enter from Thomas Street - park on the SOUTH side of WNHS and enter the school via the main entrance

Parking: Parking in front on WNHS (off Thomas street) is limited. Overflow parking will be on the north side of the building off of Papworth or Morse.
